30 race before I turn 30 races

So I came up with this crazy goal and running 30 races and getting 30 finisher awards, ribbons and medals. I created my a blog to help hold myself accountable http://30racesbythirty.blogspot.com/.

My first race is tomorrow, its the Phoenix Iron Girl 5k. I have trained a little not much but I feel ready and nervous at the same time. My goal is to complete the race in under 45 minutes or less. I know I can do it because after I gave birth to my sweet girl Evelyn I ran 10k when she was just 3 months old with very minimal training and completed it 10 minutes less than what I did the year prior so this 5k (3.1 miles) shouldnt be a problem. Braden and Easton will be there to cheer me on as I run with my friend Sarah and Melissa. Update to follow.

Lots of happenings

This past weekend was a few firsts for out little guy.. His first trip out of state to Cali, his first airplane ride)my first time flying alone with a newborn) and his first long car ride home.

The weekend started out on Thursday for Easton and I. We got up really early at 4am to head to the airport and catch out 645am flight to Cali. We got to the airport, Braden got us checked in and we said good by to daddy and headed to our gate. I expected Easton to be fussy the whole plane ride, but Easton did so good, he slept until we boarded out plane, I fed him and just as we were taking off he sucked on his binkie and slept the whole flight, as we were getting ready to land he woke up so I gave him his binkie so he wouldnt hurt his ears and he cried a little bit. The flight attendants all loved him, he was the only baby on the flight of all business people, so luckily he did great and slept the whole trip. The best part for Easton was he got to meet our pilot and see the cockpit and sit in the pilots chair. He got a certificate they dont do the wing anymore but everyone side his certificate. Then Auntie Momo picked us up and we headed to Grandma's work so he could get lots of love and meet everyone and then we meet up with Laura and mom for lunch and Easton got to meet his Great Uncle and Aunt. Thursday was a very long day for Easton but he did so well and pretty much kept to his schedule.

Friday was a fun relaxing day for Easton and I. We got to hang out with Grandma Warner for the most of the day and then Easton got to go with the girls for wedding mani's and pedi's which Uncle Steve came to watch him for us at the salon, he was a little fussy, must be like daddy and didnt want a pedi.

Saturday Easton got so much love, he got to meet so many people and be held all day. He got to meet his Granny Sarai and Grandpa Monte and his two Aunts, syda and omi and his uncle sal. He was a very handsome little man matching all the groomsmen in the wedding. Melanie's wedding was this day too. She was a beautiful bride. She had 80 people in the temple with her and probably about 100 outside waiting to meet the new Mrs. Barlow. WE are so very happy for Melanie and Jacob. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was alot of fun and filled with a wonderful surprise from her in laws of a Flash Mob, the night ended with the infamous Melanie Dance Party and they get to spend their honeymoon at Disneyland, what a fun time.

Sunday Braden and I drove back to Arizona, Easton did so good up till about the last 2 hours of the trip, his poor little tummy was hurting him, he didnt want to be in his carseat any longer and was super tired, once we got home around 8pm and got him out of the carseat he was pretty much a happy baby, he did have a little trouble going to sleep that night, just had to get back into his routine and schedule, which surprisingly the whole trip he really wasnt off his schedule. Being such a scheduled person and planner I was really worried about this but it worked out great. SO grateful for all the wonderful family and friends who played and took care of our little guy. He had so much fun.
(not the best picture sorry)

Easton turned 3 months

-he hates, really hates tummy time, he will usually cry and then give up and lay there looking at us
-he has decided he doesnt want to roll over right now
- he weighs 15lbs
- still loves sucking his thumb and hands and of course his binkie
-he has started grabbing things and putting them in his mouth
- he is such a happy little baby, is almost always smiling unless he is tired or hungry
- he giggles so much
- he loves sitting in his bumbo
- he is now on a rice starch formula for his reflux, we are hoping he out grows this and cna get off his medicine, his dr put him on a new medicine- prevacid, which we are hoping will help.
- he is such a great sleeper, usually goes down at 10p and will put his self to sleep by 1015 and will still sleep till about 7am

Halloween this year was a bit of a last minute thought. I had a great family themed costume all planned out but I never got Easton's costume ordered. We were going to be Cardinal football players, Easton was going to be our football and sadie out Ref, but yea i slacked off on that.. so Easton was a Candy Corn ( sweetest, cutest baby ever) and braden was a hockey player and I was a Witch

Easton's Blessing

Our sweet little man was blessed on Sept 4th 2011. His dad gave him such a sweet blessing. we had so many family members there, we were grateful for all that came and had to travel far to make it for this special day. David, Sterling, Bliane, Stratton, Jacob, Danny Allen, Matt Rosen and of course Braden. Braden prepared a yummy brunch back at the house and we got to spend some much needed time with family. It was pretty crazy, fun and loud here at the Hatch house. So grateful to the Allens for taking time to come to Easton's blessing, truly meant alot to us to have them they, as they are family to us. Grandma Loni blessed Braden in this tux, her friend in Washington made it for Braden and I loved it so Easton had to wear it, it just barely fit him, but he looked so handsome, gotta love the ruffles.Thank you to all our family and friends who came to support us. We love you.

Happy 1 month Easton

My baby boy is a month old. time flew by so fast. He can do so much, he can hold his head up, if you put him on his belly he will push himself up and stay there for a few seconds and he can roll over. he weighs 8lb 15oz 21 1/4 long..he is such a good eater and eats every 2 hours day and night. he is sleeping in our room with us still and doesn't keep me up only when cries to tell me he is hungry.

Sadie wasn't sure what to do with him in the beginning and would follow us when he cried and have to check him out to make sure he was ok she would give him a kiss and the walk away, now she could care less about him but will lick him given the chance :)

Easton's Birth Story

Alright I am finally catching up on my blog.. so here it is

On Monday July 25th I went to work and got off at 530 .. while I was at work I was still having contractions about 4-5 mins apart they would stay like that for an hour then stop, so I was told I wasn't in active labor so no need to go to the hospital.( Prior to this day, I was in car accident at 29 weeks and went into preterm labor and since that point I always had contractions...)... I got home cleaned the house a little.. helped Braden make dinner about 830pm, contractions were still 4-5 mins apart, we decided to go on a walk around 10pm to see if they would last longer than an hour and they did, so I called my dr and she said to go ahead and go into the hospital so I showered and then we left. We got there I was dilated to a3 80% effaced, they had me walk the hospital for an hour, we lapped all floors and took the stairs to each floor ( my bright idea lol), after an hour they checked me and no change so home I went. I was planning on going to work on Tuesday July 26th, Braden wanted me to stay home but I didn't want to sit around waiting when I could be busy at work .... Well Braden got his wish, at 330am my contractions became 2-3 mins apart and were getting stronger every hour, by 730am came around (I let Braden sleep that whole time) I could no longer talk or anything thru my contractions, so we called the Dr and she said go back in, so Braden got everything repacked in the car and I slowly made my way to the car, the drive seemed to take forever and the hospital is only 2 mins away, but it seems like forever, we got there Braden got me checked in and the nurses took me and got me changed into my gown and hooked up to everything, they checked me and I was a 5 now, they moved fast and got me back to labor and delivery and hooked up again and this time I was about a 6 and I couldnt last any longer thru the pain, I let them know I wanted my Epidural ( well thru the tears and screams), I was surprised how fast the anasteologist got there, he was very kind and the epi didnt really hurt, Braden was so good to me thru this whole process even though I know it was hard for him to see his wife in so much pain,. the Epi kicked in and I was feeling good, I actually got a 20 min nap in and then started to feel contractions again, called the nurse and they started to rotate me around, but nothing was happening the pain would come and go. Finally it was time to push, the dr broke my water and we found out that Easton was sunnyside up-- which usually ends us in emergency c-section, I pushed for an hour and half and at about 1 hour into pushing my epi wore off  and Easton's heart rate was dropping, they put an internal monitor in and told me I had to get him out and they couldnt get me any meds, I lost it, broke down, wanted to give up, scared for my baby, the pain was unbearable(I am a baby with pain), everytime I pushed he would tilt his head back and get stuck Dr. Offer had to suction him out, I was terrified, but had my loving supportive husband right by my ear telling me I can do this, he needs to come out, you got this... he was so calm(which i desperately needed) finally I was able to push him out, Braden was staying by my side to make sure I was ok, I told him I was and to check on Easton, I keep asking is he ok, is he breathing, whats going on, it seemed like a blur to me those few moments until the nurse showed me my beautiful healthy baby boy, he has a huge goose egg bruise on the front of his head from the suction, but he was healthy, no problems, apgar scores were 8-9 he weight 7lbs 8oz 20 inches long, he was so alert and strong, he was already holding his head up when they gave him to me...he looked perfect.

We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for giving us such a perfect little angel and that both Easton and I were ok and no complications came from this. The love I have for this little boy is overwhelming, he truly is a blessing in our lives and we love having him and staring at him we dont like to put him down, he is just so precious.
