It has happened......

Well it finally happened... my littlest sister is engaged. She was proposed to last night at the LA Temple. we skyped with Melanie and and Jacob on Sunday and he had asked my mom for her hand in marriage and Braden and I gave our approval too.... He is such a sweet guy and they are perfect for eachother I am so overcome with joy for Melanie and Jacob.

BIrthmothers Day

This special day occurs every year on the Saturday before Mother's Day. Its a day to remember Birthmothers all over the world and let them know they are loved and not forgotten.
This day was created by a group of woman in Seattle Washington in 1990.
Many, if not all Birthmothers will say that Mothers day is one of the hardest days for them. I know that for my it has been a hard day for the last 3 years. Knowing birthmothers have a day to celebrate and be remember for their selfless sacrifice has helped ease the pain, but doesnt completely take it all away.

Yes I know this time time year I will be celebrating my first Mothers day with my little family but it doesnt mean I won't feel the pain of not havin my angel with me, but I always remember the gift I was able to give Lynzie, the gift of being a MOM herself and having that opportunity to raise her child and have an eternal family. I am grateful for them and forever will be grateful and never forgot my little angel on Mothers day.

My sweet husband made sure this was a special Birthmothers day for, especially since he had to work and The Allens are on the eastcoast. My day started off very relaxing, I got to sleep in, the house was already cleaned(braden did that during the week) I recieved my favorite flowers and candy and soda, then meet up for lunch at a little cafe in Gold Canyon, on my way to lunch I recieved a much needed phone call from The Allens wishing me a Happy Birthmothers Day, my sweet Evelyn sang to me and told me I love you. My day was complete after this, no one could bring me down, then I was able to go shopping for soe ewell needed clothes, then Braden and I went to dinner at La Grande Orange in Phoenix, The Allens took me there for dinner on one of our many visits, then we went to the movies with our dear friends Kelcie and Taylor. My day was an amazing day, a day of relaxation and reflection of the past 2 1/2 years. I am grateful for all the love of my family and friends and the support for the past 2 1/2 years.

23 weeks and counting

I am officially 23 weeks .. only 17 more to go..sounds so close but so far away... the bad thing about being pregnant right now is the heat.. it may only be 96 outside and braden thinks its beautiful weather but I HATE it, i am miserably hot, this is going to be a long 4 more months.. I hope they go by fast. we have our next dr apt on april 11. I am doing great, no sickness, headaches are calming down and not too many or bad cravings. I feel super big but the hubby tells me I am really not.  we have our next ultrasound in 6 weeks so excited to see our little guy...OH YA he officially has a name, Easton Mark Hatch ( mark is my dads name, he passed away when I was 3) and Easton, well we just loved the uniqueness of it.. here is my 23 week bump

last weekend we went up to holbrook to get little miss Sadie spaded. she did really well and stay relaxed and calmed the first day at home and then was back to her hyper self... thanks to my old roomie and having an animal degree told me to give her baby benydrl, what a life saver that was...she was lucky and didnt have to have the collar of shame.... she got her stiches out today and braden said she did well..  she is pretty much full size at this point, she weighs 19 pounds now, we have to monitor her food intake or she will eat and eat with out a care :) she will be a year old on july 4th.

This is my Melanie AKA MEL MEL, MOMO, MEL, M, Little, little sister, sis sister, saster, seessstteerrr, best friend.

Today she is 26 years old. Dang she is getting old. She told me today she is officially in her late 20's lol.

She is my best friend (besides the twin). I love this girl so dearly. She has been a rock and supporter to me throughout the many trials I have had in my life. She is a wonderful person to talk to and a great listener and advice given, even when it’s not ask for (but that’s why I love her).

It's hard not having family in the same state but i love that she is only a phone call away. I get to email her all day long and text her and call her on her way home from work hoping she doesn’t fall of her bike talking to me.

She takes amazing photographs. She loves the outdoors, a very family oriented girl, she has an amazing knowledge of the gospel and can speak with such clear insight about the gospel, very spiritual, outgoing, creative, unique(in every way, especially her dress) and doesn’t care what others think about her or how she dresses granted i am unsure if she matches sometimes but hey i love her style and she is my sis.

San Diego Temple

18 weeks and ITS A BOY!!!!

So much to catch up on.. Braden and I went to the San Diego Temple feb 26th and became an Eternal family. We were so grateful to have all our family and friends there with us.. My mom and little sister were there, Papa and Momma Sarai, Loni, Blaine, Straton, Jessica, Karson, Riah, Aunt AnnMarie and her family, Auntie CArrie and her family, Cousin Rissa and her Hubby Cameron, The Zepedas, Grandma Beverly, my friend Sara, The McGees, Bowmans, Kelcie and Taylor. It was predicted to rain the whole weekend and not let up, we felt very blessed when we arrived to the temple shortly after it stopped raining and we had blue skies. My sweet little sister was so patient with us and took some beautiful pictures here a a couple for now until i get the rest, And YES I FIT IN MY DRESS, it may have a taken a couple people to zip it up but the point is in was in it and the baby wasnt squished. :) It will be a day to remember for always. It has been my dream since I joined the church to be sealed in the San Diego Temple and it came true. I have such a strong testimony of temples and eternal families. On March 2 2002 I was sealed to my family in the LA Temple, on Aug 8 2009 Miss Evelyn became part of an Eternal Family as I held her in the Mesa Temple, what a joyous day and now Braden and I have become an Eternal Fmaily. I have such a love and growing testimony of the Gospel and the Temple

Today we found out we will be welcoming our first lttle boy. We both wanted a boy and I can't wait to get started on the nursery and buying clothes.

18 week baby bump

I am officially 16 weeks.. i have a bit of a baby bump. the first trimester i was really tired and would fall asleep at about 830pm every night and nauseous most of the time. i haven’t really had much of any kind of craving. the only thing i usually crave is if i see something that looks really good then i want it till i get it and then most of the time i am satisfied with that craving.. except smore's the Saturday before valentine's were watching "the best thing i ever ate" and there were smore's and i wanted them, i attempted to recreate at home without graham crackers and wasn’t satisfied, then braden made reservations for us at The Melting Pot in Scottsdale and as i was looking over the menus of fondues what did i find.. SMORE'S FONDUE- i was in heaven, melted chocolate with marshmallow fluff flambed at your table topped with graham cracker crumbs... my first bite i was in heaven, braden laughed at me, the whole meal was amazing but this by far was my favorite part. the craving is still there but not as strong, i haven’t eaten any since then. I really don’t have much of an appetite, nothing usually sounds good me so when i can’t figure something out i turn to cereal- Honeycombs or Captain Crunch no berries or a large glass of milk.

so now being in the 2nd trimester, i am not as tired i can stay up till about 10 now, still earlier than we normally head to bed. I am not nauseous anymore. I do get migraines and dizzy but they say that’s normal. We find out in 2 weeks 2 days MARCH 9TH if it’s a boy or girl, or as Braden says to confirm its a BOY!.. lol we don’t know yet though.


I am already getting things ready as much as i can.. moving my crafts/sewing in to the guestroom. i didn’t realize how much stuff i had accumulated in the past several years, and of course it’s hard to part with so i will make it fit and look great :)

Love Day

My sweet husband and I both took the day off from work and slept in and he made me breakfast and we releaxed together till it was time to go to dinner. He made a reservation at The Melting Pot in Scottsdale. We both have never been there before and thought it would be fun, and it was. We had a private both, 4 course meal took a little lovers quiz, got a goody bad and a picture of us in a frame. I love when i get to spend a weekday with my honey. He is so good to me. espeically being pregnant and dealing with my mood swings, i get irritable for no reason at all and i mean NO REASON. it's pretty funny, i can laugh about it cause i know I am ridiculous most of the time, and i will tell him i know it something that shouldnt bother me( and i laugh when telling him) and i should let it go because its something so small and meaningless, but i just DON't. Braden has so much patience for me.


This june we will have known (or to some people been dating/together/in love) each for 3 years. Our first date was on July 4th, when he stole my # from his friend Randall and he called me and I couldnt say no, we were inseparable from that point on, we were officially dating right before i left for California for Christmas and I told him I loved him first on new years eve and his response "I know" then he said I love you too.. it was pretty funny....


He has been the best thing (besides Evie) that has happened to me. What man will date a pregnant girl, stick with her thru the remaining 5 months and take her to the hospital when he water breaks, sit thru her crying/screaming/biting (when i got the epidural-which i didnt know i bit him till the next day when he told me)and my adoption and be there for me after I placed my Evie with her family and never leave my side. I never imagined he would stick around and or let alone want to marry me. I am so grateful for such a loving/caring/understanding man. I couldnt ask Heavenly Father for a better husband, soon to be father.

updates......

Not much has happened so far in 2011. We have basically been doing the same old thing.. Braden has turned his store from a bottom store to a #1 store in the market and is top in the state of Arizon. I am still at Wells in the Fraud Department. I am trying to get back in school so I can work with adoptive couples and educating a lot of people of why open adoption is such a wonderful thing and how you CAN NOT pressure a young girl into adoption even if YOU think its not the best thing for her or the baby. I can’t wait to get into this field. Its my passion. We are getting Sealed Feb 26th in the San Deigo temple (yes I know its far, but its been my dream since I joined the chruch). We have been married a year and half and we are excited to finally get sealed and have our family and closest friends their supporting us and showing their love.


We have almost completed all rooms in our house now.. we have officially decorated and painted the guest room. Next is landscaping the backyard and then decorating and painting the other guest room.

We look forward to what 2011 will bring and how our lives will soon change.
