Melanie is finally home

Braden and I were able to go to Cali this past weekend to welcome my beautiful little sister home from her mission. It has been a long 18 months. I am so happy she is finally home.

Lola Update

Lola is doing well. Her new mommy is a great mommy. Lola has been experiencing the outside world. Today the other kitties and dogs were out side and she saw them sat at the back door and meowed for christie to let her out.. she did so well..

Valentines Day 2010

I have the most amazing husband in the world. I have wait so long for a man like him. We had a wonderful weekend in Scottsdale, Az ( I know it not far but nice to get away for the week). We then decided to hit up Matt's Big Breakfast in Phoenix (was shown on Guy's Diner, drive-ins and Dives) It was amazing. We waited 2 HOURS, but it was well worth it. Then we came home and relaxed and Braden cooked me a yummy dinner Pistachio Crusted Tilapia, Pear and green salad with sweet homemade vinaigrette and fries. Then we just cuddled and relaxed. Braden got me a very beautiful Heart ring from Kay jewelers, but he had snuck it in my purse early in the morning on Sunday and I never found it till he got home from the store and told me he lost his wallet, we looked everywhere, he suggested we look in my purse, so I did, ( i still missed the box lol), Braden looked thru it and said what’s this and he was holding a little white box. What a sneaky husband, I had literally gone thru my purse several times that day and never found it... I have the most amazing husband in the world. He cleans cooks and does laundry, how much better can it get than that. I love you BABE!

Losing my other baby

I picked up my baby Lola Mae the day I went into labor with my  the other love of my life, Miss Evelyn .. I am having to give away my little kitty, who is only 2 years old because my husband has become very allergic to her and I am giving her to my old roomate Christy who has her friend Levi, I know she is going to a good home but this is very hard for me as I got her to help ease the pain of placing my angel for adoption. She has helped me in my grieving process of Evelyn. I love my kitty but I know she will be okay. I will still get pcitures and updates since I am still good friends with my rommmate. I will miss you Lola I love you and you didn't do anything wrong.

Update

its been awhile since i have last posted on here. i do post alot on my birthmother blog. Not much has been going on lately with us. We both have been working alot. Trying to get back into school. I have been going back to my support group after i took a bit  of time off, i am glad to be back. cant wait for this week. we are going to be planning our service activity. Thanks to this blog birthmotherbaskets.blogspot.com. she has inspired The mesa LDS family service office to start their own. I am excited to get this going. I really hope it turns into something big.

We are creating Birthmother baskets to send home with each birthmother  when they leave the hospital. it will have lots of self care items and other fun needed items to help support after placement. We will be planning fundraiser and how to collect donations. i will be creating a blog for th blaskets with a paypal link for donations as well as and address to mail dontations. this is a good cause so please spread the word on this. I am excited to get this rolling.

Braden and I are doing wonderful. the house is still coming along... his brother gets home from his mission on march 26th and my sister comes home from her mission on march 6th i cant wait to see her and meet straton.we find it funny that we havent meet eachother brother and sister, maybe they will date. :) well this is all for now i will post  new pictures when i take more..

Our First Christmas

We spent our first Christmas in Arizona, unfortunatly i was unable to get time off and Bradens new banker decided to have her baby 2 weeks early which meant he worked dec 26th and so did I. It was stilla great Christmas even though we were unable to spend it with our families. We did make a quick overnight trip to Holbrook sat night arriving really late and leaving sunday afternoon.We went for his best friends borthers mission homecoming and our friends baby blessing, it was a quick trip though.

Hard Times

This month has been a fairly hard one for me... it has to do with my year anniversary of my placement coming up next week... My husband has been very patient with me... the other day was a rater rough one and he brought me home red roses and a starbucks hot chocolate. I love my husband this little treat definitly made my day better.... i love him so much and i am grateful i have him thru this process and had him there after i placed my little angel...

Happy 26th Birthday!!!

Oct 10th was my 26th birthday, thanks to my wonderful husband I had an AWESOME birthday.
Timeline of the day
~wake up at 10am- Crepes for breakfast in bed
~ open presents
~3pm special visitors- The Allens, suprise set up by Braden for a special visit
~ Birthday dinner at Firebirds Steakhouse
~8pm home- get scared to death by my friends who were waiting in the dark, Malise made an awesome cake

I LOVE FALL !!!

Loni took us to a pumpkin patch in Snowflake, Az... it was my birthday present it was so much fun too many pumpkins to choose from... my pumpkin weighed 30 pounds lol
